The CiTA project has been revived since this year. CiTA stands for Computers in Technical Applications and focuses, as the name suggests, on applications of computers in all kinds of equipment. Examples include measuring temperature and humidity or controlling a traffic light or a motor in a robot arm.
The primary target group consists of secondary school students with an affinity for technology. In this way, the students have a good foundation when they move on to universities and vocational training courses. The restart of the project was made possible because our team was strengthened with our Zambian colleague Given Sichilima. He gives the courses and maintains contacts with the schools (see photos). We are pleased with his work and dedication because also in Zambia there is a great need for people with a technical education. For those interested, course material and a detailed explanation are available on request.
