SOZ is considered by the Dutch tax authorities as a 'public interest institution' ANBI - Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling.
This means that donations are deductible from the Dutch income tax. For people that pay tax in other countries the deductibility of donations may vary.
The ANBI status has also tax advantages for the foundation itself.
